Counting The Costs… Before Serving The Homeless Ministry

Babysteps ministry is flourishing right now. People are being fed by the masses, the gospel is being spread and individuals are receiving prayer, partnerships are being formed, and resources are pouring in. God is doing wonderful things for us and we are constantly amazed at what is happening in this ministry.

Concurrently, advancing the kingdom has brought a boat load of opposition from the enemy. We are targeted now and satan will attack our ministry as well as our personal lives to stop what we are doing.

Paul’s letters of encouragement to the churches has never made more sense to me. I am also beginning to understand what Jesus meant when He said, count the costs before following Him. What I am realizing is, though you won’t necessarily get persecuted on the mission field, the enemy will attack your personal life and the lives around you. Friends.. I have seen some ridiculous things happen in my life while growing this ministry.

Let me say this, if you are planning on participating in our events or thinking about supporting our ministry in any way, understand that you will experience opposition in your life. Guaranteed by the bible.

The encouragement is, the attacks are proof that we are doing God’s will. At the end of the day, we are serving our Lord and the joy of advancing His Kingdom God satisfies me like nothing else this world can offer.

Acts 14:21, 22 NIV

“They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.”

Please continue praying for us.

Your brother,

Peter Kim
